Antenatal Class - Introduction to Newborn Carrying

About / description

This workshop is ideal for those parents-to-be, and parents/carers of babies up to six weeks of age, who want to find out more about why carrying matters for their newborn’s arrival. Understanding the “Fourth Trimester” and early baby development is key to beginning to build the secure attachments that will have very positive effects on your child’s future development.

Using a baby carrier is a wonderful way to keep your child close to you where they belong, while giving you your hands back and the freedom to get around. We will show you a range of carriers that are suitable for newborns and young infants, and show you how to put them on safely, using weighted demo dolls, and then your own young baby if appropriate. We will discuss the importance of protecting the airway and ensure you know how to do this confidently. There will be plenty of opportunities to practice and ask questions.

To give you information about the benefits of babywearing, to both your baby, and to you! To help you to feel confident about carrying your newborn baby in a range of safe and comfortable carrier options

Class is designed for parents and caregivers to be, and those who have babies under six weeks
