Introduction to Mountain Running

This guided running session is aimed at road or trail runners who’d like to venture into the mountains. It is led by Mountaineering Instructor and ultra-runner Giles Ruck, assisted by a local hill runner.

Distance: 15 - 20 km

Total Ascent: 1000m

Run Duration: 5 hours

Terrain: Some rough mountain paths, moorland, some scrambling

Technical Rating: Moderate

Endurance rating: 4 - Participants must be able to travel up to 20km at a pace of about 4 km/hr.
