Private Porto Secrets Walking Tour

Tour Itinerary

After meeting your guide, at Liberty Square your visit starts with a walk down Aliados Av. towards S. Bento Railway Station, proceeding to visit the city's historical center, including the cathedral, its cloisters and its treasure museum, followed by a short walk down the old Jewish quarter, till Ribeira square.

Your tour guide will take you than to the (ex) Stock Exchange Palace to enjoy a private guided visit to this imposing monument which still keeps the glamour of the past Portuguese Empire wealth, inside its beautiful richly decorated rooms!

Your last stop will be the beautiful Clergy Tower (Torre dos Clérigos) where you will hear tales of religious orders extinction in Portugal, related to the Inquisition.

At the end of your tour, you can opt to enjoy a pleasant Douro river 50 min. cruise followed by a commented wine tasting at the wine bar of the oldest Port wine cellar - the first one to be created in Portugal, back in 1756 - or enjoy a local gastronomy cooking class to taste the best of the Portuguese cuisine during your lunch time.
